Staff Profiles

Baron King, Director of Health Services, holds an M.S. in Christian Counseling, as well as a B.S. in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University.  He has directed the University counseling services since January, 2006.  His areas of special interest include working with young adults and sexual abuse recovery.  Baron is also a lab instructor in PBU’s MSCC program as well as the Director of Counseling at Crossing Community Church in Newtown PA.  Baron enjoys being outdoors and is an avid mountain-biker and rock-climber.  Baron and his wife Michelle live in Newtown with their three children. Peggy Pullizzi holds an M.S. in Christian Counseling from PBU and a B.B.A. in Marketing from Hofstra University.  A former lab instructor in PBU’s MSCC program, Peggy’s special interests are women's issues as well as marriage and family counseling.  Peggy lives with her husband and 6-year old daughter in Fairless Hills, Pa. Elisa Monahan holds an M.S. in Christian Counseling, a B.S. in Bible and a B.S. in Education from PBU.  Elisa, originally from the beautiful state of New Hampshire, now resides in Langhorne, PA with her husband, Ken, and their young son.  Elisa is passionate about ministering to the questions, hurts, and wounds of people’s hearts and lives and helping them pursue more fully the freedom, life, and healing love of Christ.  She also enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and a good conversation over a yummy cup of coffee. Caryl Treiber holds an M.S. in Christian Counseling from PBU and a B.S. in Nursing from Wagner College.  She has been employed as a Certified School Nurse by the South Brunswick Township Board of Education for the last 23 years.  Caryl has been volunteering for the past year at Choice One Crisis Pregnancy and Sexual Resource Center in Lawrenceville, NJ.  This summer she became the new Clinical Director/Nurse Manager for all three of Choice One’s sites.  Her special interests are in counseling individuals facing transition and/or crisis in their lives and assisting them to discover the love and healing power of Christ.  Caryl also loves to garden and resides in Monmouth Junction, NJ with her husband, Mike. Michael H. Ryanis currently a third-year graduate student at PBU, finishing his Masters of Science in Christian Counseling. Michael was born and raised in New York. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Human Development at State University of New York at Binghamton. Michael works as an intensive case manager for the mentally ill in the city of Philadelphia. Michael's research interest centers around relationships, reconciliation, and helping young adults through the damage of childhood trauma and abuse. Email Michael here.

Thea Gallagher holds a MSCC from PBU and a B.A. in Psychology from Temple University.  She has worked extensively with females in Jr. High, High school, and College.  She is excited to be working with the students of PBU in the coming year. Email Thea here.
