Professor Kenneth Benjamin, Home With the Lord;
1945-2004

Mr. H. Kenneth Benjamin, long-time faculty member in the School of Music and Performing Arts, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2004. He was 59 years
old.
Mr. Benjamin ministered at PBU for 29 years as a faculty
member. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he was conductor of the PBU Symphonic Band and advisor for several student ensembles. During a special University-wide chapel on Friday, President
Sherrill Babb noted, “Ken was a 'model' faculty member. He was a perpetual people encourager. We will all greatly miss him.”
He served as minister of music at Calvary Baptist Church in Bristol, PA, and music director at Camp Spofford in New Hampshire.
Ken will be greatly missed by all. Your prayers are
coveted and appreciated for his wife Kathy, daughter Kristen Hertzler ('00), and sons Blair (‘94) and Darrell ('98) and other family members.
A viewing was held on Monday, September 27, 6-9 p.m., and Tuesday, September 28, 9-10:30 a.m., at Calvary Baptist Church in Bristol, PA. The funeral took place be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29 at the church.
There was also a memorial service on Thursday, September 30, 7 p.m. at PBU's Chatlos Chapel.
