PBU Dedicates Heritage Hall–Home to Over 250 Students

October 1, 2005

On Saturday, October 1, 2005, the University’s new 265-bed “Heritage Hall” dormitory was officially dedicated among an enthusiastic crowd of alumni, students and their parents, elected officials and other special guests.

Following the ceremony, which was held in the large commons lounge of the 54,000 square-foot facility, hundreds of people toured the dorm which features eight, male- or female-only wings serviced by Resident Assistants. Each wing allows for its own separate social, spiritual and intramural athletic involvement. Also, the men’s and women’s living quarters have their own lounge areas with TV’s and microwaves. Four inner courtyards are interspersed among the wings.

The main commons lounge in the center of the facility features comfortable, modular furniture groupings, a café, a prayer room, a seminar room, computer stations, a security office and adjacent Resident Director apartments. The lower level has a fitness room, a game room and laundry facilities.

The name “Heritage Hall” commemorates former, late Presidents of PBU. The eight wings and six lounges are each named in honor of one the Presidents listed below:
